Institute Participation & Data Governance
Agreement

This Institute Participation & Data Governance Agreement (“Agreement”) sets out the terms under which an educational institute, training institute or other eligible institution (“Institute”, “you” or “your”) may participate in the SEOPEARLSNET Free Career Counselling & Guidance Service and receive access to relevant counselling enquiries.
By accepting this Institute Participation & data governance Agreement digitally, the authorised representative of the Institute confirms that the Institute has read, understood and agreed to these terms.
1. Nature of the Service
SEOPEARLSNET provides a free career counselling and guidance service through which individuals may voluntarily request guidance regarding career-oriented courses, training and learning options.
Based on the individual’s stated interests, SEOPEARLSNET may share relevant counselling enquiries to participating Institutes that offer suitable courses or training.
The purpose is to enable the Institute to:
- provide genuine career counselling and guidance;
- understand the individual’s interests, education and career objectives;
- explain relevant career and learning options; and
- provide information about suitable courses or training offered by the Institute.
2. Role of SEOPEARLSNET
SEOPEARLSNET acts only as a facilitator for the exchange of information between individuals and participating institutes for free career counselling. Any subsequent communication, counselling, course-related dealings or other relationship is solely between the Institute and the individual.
3. Free Career Counselling & Student Choice
The Institute shall provide genuine, relevant and reasonably informative initial career counselling based on the individual’s interests, educational background and career objectives, including, where relevant, information about career options, job roles, required skills and qualifications, career paths, learning pathways and relevant courses or training.
Free counselling does not require the individual to enrol in, purchase or pay for any course, training or service. Any course or training offered is completely optional, and the Institute shall not represent otherwise.
4. Data Spreadsheet Access
SEOPEARLSNET may provide read-only access to a designated spreadsheet containing relevant counselling enquiries. The Institute shall check the spreadsheet regularly for new enquiries and status updates; SEOPEARLSNET is not required to separately notify the Institute of new enquiries.
5. Use, Access and Protection of Information
The Institute is responsible for its own handling and processing of the information and shall comply with applicable privacy and data protection requirements, including the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules. The Institute shall be responsible for any unauthorised or unlawful use, disclosure, transfer or retention arising from its own handling of the information.
6. Withdrawal and Removal
The Institute shall promptly stop further counselling contact when SEOPEARLSNET communicates a withdrawal or do-not-contact status.
SEOPEARLSNET may remove completed, withdrawn, expired or otherwise closed enquiries from the spreadsheet. Fresh enquiries may subsequently be added.
7. Institute Responsibility & Indemnity
The Institute is responsible for its own communications, counselling, representations, courses, services and dealings with individuals.
The Institute agrees to indemnify and hold SEOPEARLSNET harmless against claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs or expenses arising from the Institute’s own acts, omissions, use or handling of information received through SEOPEARLSNET, or from subsequent dealings between the Institute and an individual.
SEOPEARLSNET may discontinue the Institute’s participation or access to enquiries if the Institute breaches these terms or misuses information.
By ticking the acceptance checkbox and submitting this form, the authorised representative confirms that the Institute has read, understood and agreed to this Declaration.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of India. This includes applicable requirements under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and applicable rules and regulations.
Any dispute arising out of or relating to this Agreement shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in Pune, Maharashtra, India.
9. Acceptance
By ticking the acceptance checkbox and submitting the Institute Registration Form, the authorised representative confirms that the Institute has read and understood this Agreement and agrees to and accepts all its terms and conditions.
