5) Roof Top Grid Tie System
Description
A grid-tied solar photovoltaic system is one that is mounted on the roof. The bi-directional net metre computes the net effect of the recipient’s use of solar-generated electricity and MSEB-received electricity. The mechanism transfers excess electricity to the grid and vice versa. The net metre computes the net energy provided and used from the grid and generates the units for monthly billing.
